Kevin Anderson

Former Professional Tennis Player

.

Kevin Anderson is one of the modern era’s defining big match competitors, an imposing 6’8” South African whose explosive serve and calm, surgical mindset carried him from Johannesburg to the sport’s highest stages and into the game’s inner circle of leadership. A standout at the University of Illinois before turning professional in 2007, Anderson built his career the hard way, through steady improvement, relentless professionalism, and repeated comebacks, ultimately winning seven ATP singles titles, rising to a career high world No. 5, and proving he belonged with the sport’s giants on its biggest courts. He reached two Grand Slam finals, the 2017 US Open and 2018 Wimbledon, authored one of Wimbledon’s signature runs of the decade with a two sets down comeback over Roger Federer, and survived the epic 26–24 fifth set semifinal marathon against John Isner, matches that did not just showcase power, but rare endurance, clarity under pressure, and championship level nerve. Beyond the baseline, Anderson has been equally respected as a steward of the sport, serving for years on the ATP Player Council and ultimately as its President, while earning the ATP’s Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award for impact beyond tennis. Now retired from the tour, he brings to this historic American draft moment a perspective forged in Grand Slam finals, locker room leadership, and a career defined by resilience, an athlete who understands what it takes to build winning cultures, elevate players, and move the game forward.

I am passionate about building the future of the racquet sports industry through leadership, collaboration, and culture-driven team development. My work focuses on recruiting and mentoring talented professionals, creating clear pathways for career growth, and building environments where teams and communities can thrive. Known as a connector and industry innovator, I believe the greatest strength of any program lies in its people. By fostering collaboration, empowering professionals, and cultivating strong relationships with members, I aim to elevate both the professional experience and the member experience. With a foundation as a teaching professional and high-performance coach, I bring a deep understanding of the athlete, the professional, and the operational side of racquet sports. This perspective allows me to lead with both strategic vision and practical experience while continuing to contribute to the growth and evolution of a multi-racquet sports industry.

PourMyBeer

I started a business in an industry I had no prior experience in because I realized the process of getting beverages (alcoholic + non-alcoholic) could improve. We've effectively taken what is typically a 5-7 step process to get a drink to a 1-2 step process. In 2015, the company was just me, since then we've doubled in size year over year and we're opening an average of 10 new locations a month. With over 7,000 self pour taps globally, we've positioned ourselves as the industry leader in a space that continues to grow. Seeing new and current customers execute the self-pour concept is a beautiful site. Their customers love it and they do too, because they're not selling a product anymore, they're selling an experience.
